Contraindications for Kambo
Kambo is not recommended for individuals with the following conditions:
Heart disease/Heart attack
History of brain hemorrhage, aneurysms, or blood clots
History of stroke
History of mania, schizophrenia, psychosis, or other severe mental health conditions
Pancreatitis
Recent Ayahuasca (within 3 days)
Recent 5-MEO-DMT experience (within 2 weeks)
Undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy (within the past 4–6 weeks)
Individuals on immune-suppressant drugs
Addison’s disease
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Epilepsy
Liver disease
Kidney disease
Recovery from a major surgical procedure
Addiction (including active alcohol or opioid addiction)
Severe esophageal conditions, including Boerhaave’s Syndrome, esophageal varices, tumors, or untreated eosinophilic esophagitis
Cautions for Kambo
Caution is advised for individuals with the following:
Individuals using immune-suppressants for autoimmune disorders
Active drug or alcohol addiction
Fasting of any kind within seven days before or after Kambo, apart from the required 8-hour pre-session fasting
Undergoing colonics, enemas, liver flushes, or any water-based detoxes three days before or after Kambo
Recent use of Bufo 5-MeO-DMT within the last 28 days
History of esophageal sensitivity, including reflux (GERD), bulimia, chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS) due to mold exposure, or past injury/trauma to the esophagus
